February News

The beautiful Spring Crocuses on the Village Green Wildflower meadow give us a little boost and remind us that Spring is on its way.

On a rare sunny day, Cllr Peter Ellens spent the morning tending to the fruit trees on the Village Green and putting woodchip around the trees to enable them to retain moisture over the (hopefully) drier months.

Jim Wood has decided it is time for him to step down from the Parish Council and we would like to thank Jim for his many years of service to the Parish Council and for being Chairman of the Planning Committee.  His hard work (and huge sense of fun) will be greatly missed.  We wish him all the best in the future.  As a result, we have a vacancy on the Council.  If you’d like to find out more, please contact the Clerk.

A reminder that Hampshire County Council are running a Future Services Consultation until 31 March 2024.  Please do take the time to complete the consultation.  There has been much publicity about the possibility of closing the Bordon Waste Recycling Centre and it is important they receive as much feedback as possible.  Visit www.hants.gov.uk/future-services-consultation

The next Full Council Meeting is on Monday 11th March.  Members of the public are welcome to attend.
