Community First are working in partnership with the local authority to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
To do this we are excited to be recruiting volunteers for a variety of roles at Alton’s brand new testing site located in the Sports Centre.
As a volunteer you will be helping ensure that essential workers can continue to safely carry out their roles by facilitating their access to regular testing.
Volunteers will be undertaking marshalling and administrative roles to help make sure people coming for covid testing feel welcomed, comfortable and safe.
With the vital help of volunteers the new test center will operate 6 days a week with volunteers working alongside testing staff in shifts of up to 4 hours. There will be 2 shifts a day so you can choose from morning or afternoon, whichever suits you?
At present volunteers are need to support each one of these roles:
· Queue Coordinators
· Registration Assistant
· Test Assistants
· Processing Operatives
· Results Recorder
Volunteers will help in so many ways, from providing a friendly welcome to the testing site, and escorting people to test points all to help provide a seamless, safe and efficient testing service for local people. Together we can make this happen.
If you would like to be involved simply let us know by registering your interest and we will be in touch with you with more details within the next 7 days.
