News Update Headley Pavilion June 2025

The team from Flint Construction have been very busy in the last month and we are now seeing things appearing that weren’t there before! The rearrangement and additions of changing rooms, storage and toilets has needed new internal walls, so the bricklayers have been making new block walls and sealing up windows and door spaces that are no longer required. The foundations for the new extensions are in place, and we could see wiring and pipework being installed so that it will be hidden within the new walls and ceilings.

As expected with any major refurbishment, when you remove surface coverings the underlying structure may not be as sound as first hoped, so we may have to do more work to bring the building up to standard. However, this possibility had already been factored into the plans so that shouldn’t cause a delay in the project.

We have also been helping with the fun stuff, which is choosing the colour schemes for the welcome areas, changing rooms and toilets. No more painted blockwork! When the building is completed, we will only see the paint and tiles not the brick and concrete below so although decoration is a tiny part of the overall project cost, it is very important that it creates the right impression.  Here are a few pictures from the work inside the building.
