January 2019

You may have noticed the Christmas lights in the High Street were not on this year. Unfortunately, they were beyond repair. The Parish Council are investigating other options for Christmas 2019.

We are making good progress on a defibrillator for Headley Down. It will be installed outside One Stop in Birch Road. The Parish Council is also working with the Patient Participation Group on this project.

The red phone box in the High Street that houses our current defibrillator will be painted in the Spring.

The Parish Council have been gifted approximately 6 acres of woodland off Beech Hill. There are protective covenants on the land to retain it as woodland.

There are local elections for all Parish Councils on 2nd May 2019.

Headley Parish Council, working with Grayshott and Greatham Parish Councils have purchased a new Speed Limit Reminder (SLR) sign, thanks to funding from County Councillor Floss Mitchell and District Councillor Richard Millard for Headley's share of the costs. The new SLR will be deployed soon and will provide valuable data on the speed and volume of all vehicles at key locations in the three Parishes.
